“Hi Martin, some more about 3482 JW: my Dad (Ian Turner) bought it in May 1968 from a lady in Shenstone Lichfield. Before her it was owned by a garage in Wolverhampton and had some kind of rally history. I now have it in my garage and that picture on the website (below) was taken a few years ago at HSCC Silverstone. It has a 1275 engine and disc brakes.
The other car, YSV 201, is
my race Sprite and was built from an ex-Californanian Mk2 shell. We saw the partially finished project for sale on ebay a few years ago and cut our holiday in the Black Forest short by a day to go and buy it from a guy in Newcastle. As you can see it’s a tribute to JAX 12 and I race it in Equipe GTS. Fairly standard apart from stiffer springs, dampers, and a race 1293 engine with sccr gearbox. We wanted to keep it period so it has a trimmed interior and standard Sprite dash. Hope you like, Mark”.
