Andrew Quine has updated us on his progress with the Sebring Coupe he acquired, unfinished, from Barry McCann:
“Just to give you an update on the Sebring, the dashboard is now fitted and a new wiring loom is in place. I have a 1330 fast road engine built by Gordon Elwell to drop in together with a recon gearbox. The car is based on a 1962 Mk2 Sprite and the original seats are presently being recovered in black with red piping. It is now registered in my name as an Austin Healey Sprite Coupe. I am hoping to borrow a crane in the next few weeks to fit the engine and box. As the car was built over 5 years ago and as yet has never turned a wheel I can’t wait to finally turn the key. Looking forward to getting it on the road”.
