WSM 207 has a new owner. Jan van Es has acquired the car after 23 years in the care of Rae Davis, and has been in touch to share his plans.

The car had been tucked away for many years, patiently awaiting restoration. A complete restoration is now scheduled to begin in early 2027, with the aim of having her finished by the end of 2027.

After several emails with her original owner, Joel Nelson, Jan has decided to return WSM 207 to her original specification, exactly as she left Swiss Cottage in 1963. She will once again be finished in white with blue stripes, with a black interior, wire wheels and, of course, proudly carrying the name of Écurie Escargot.

“I look forward to bringing this remarkable little car back to life and preserving another chapter of WSM history.”
