SPRITES RACING AT PAU ~ MAY 2018
Three UK based Sprites made the long journey to Pau in South West France to compete in the Legendary Circuits series Historic Grand Prix event on 18-20 May 2018. They were Ian Hulett (W&P Sebring Sprite GT) David Smith (Sprite Mk4/Sebring) and Steve Atkinson (Sprite Mk 3). They were joined by series organiser Pieter Bakker’s Monza Sprite, assorted Morgans, Triumphs, Porsches, Lotus and MGBs as well as two Ginetta G15s and a Davrian, the grid totalling 29 cars. All the UK based Sprites finished both races with Ian Hulett achieving the best result – third in the first race behind a Morgan +8 and a Porsche 911 RSR.
