“Finally finished my build. Andrew tells me this will be car number 108 – last car in original series. The registration number is OIG 2175. The car is based on a 1970 1275cc MG Midget, but using all Frogeye parts including dash, doors, and instruments. Finished in Jaguar Lightning silver, engine is mildly tuned with larger valves, some head polishing, 4 branch exhaust, and 5 speed Type 9 gearbox, vented discs, roll bar, oil cooler, alloy radiator Mini-Lite knock-on wheels, have made a couple of body modifications: firstly have done away with the external bonnet catches, and raised headroom by 1½ inch. Built more for comfort rather than outright speed”.
