Kees van Beijmerwerdt in The Netherlands is seeking information about some alloy cylinder heads he has been offered: He is looking for pictures of alloy cyinder heads. The story (told him by his late friend Steve Bowen) was that BMC produced a small batch of alloy A-series heads which looked on the outside the same as cast iron ones and also were painted green . “You can imagine why in those competition days!” Does anyone know this story and if so can you supply pictures so he can compare them with these that he has been offered? They are raw castings which still have to be completely machined, but they look identical to the original iron ones. Kees has pictures of the Speedwell alloy heads and the new American ones from Moss Motors, but they are different. He is keen to identify them before he purchases. Feedback please.
