3242WD ~ Brett Dillon's hill climb/race car
Healey Drivers Champion 2025
The following story compiled by Brett:
"The car was originally prepared by Kevin Rowe and Simon Leeming and Kevin entered the Healeysport Sprint and Hillclimb championships between 2015 and 2018. After not getting much use Kevin decided to sell the car on and I then became the next owner.
After a little bit of upgrading and tweaking with the help of the Woolmers, I campaigned the car in Healeysport in 2024 with some good results for a newbie. I also competed in circuit races with Equipe and FISCAR. In 2025 I managed to win the Sprite class and also become the overall Healey Drivers Champion. I also managed a second in class at the Syd Segal Trophy race at Silverstone with Equipe.
The car is a Sebring replica with fibreglass front and rear shells. It had a 1330cc Marina engine with a single Weber 45 and a straight cut gearbox. I change the diffs to suit either circuit racing or climbing hills. The rest of the car is mainly standard to meet the road car class.
For 2026, I decided to try the 1380cc engine the John Tizard had put in 2214UE. So far a win a Cadwell Park is a good sign although some horrible noises on teh last run of teh day did scare me a bit. It turns out I had the wrong flywheel on the engine and it had worked lose and was held on by the pins!!
No more plans to develop WD this season as all the work will be on
UE".
